Co-authored an article with C. J. Reddy from Altair that has been published in the February 2017 edition of Microwave Journal. “Antenna Design Methodology for Smartwatch Applications” explains how to design an antenna for a smart device application using FEKO, along with pinpointing the various challenges when designing with chip antennas.
The design steps covered include modeling the chip antenna, integrating the feed network and chip antenna in a smartwatch model, and finally, integrating the smartwatch into a human phantom model to investigate the radiation patterns of the smartwatch in proximity to the human body.
